If you’re into skiing, snowboarding, hiking, backpacking, and more outdoor adventure, the mountains are not far from the city. While there are many places that are nearby Denver to hike and mountain bike, the skiing and snowboarding is going to require at least an hour drive. Not much of a skier or snowboarder? Copper Mountain offers tubing, you take the carpet up the hill and ride down on an innertube. Lots of fun for the kids too!
